WHS & Compliance Consulting for Australian Construction and Trade Businesses

One Failed Inspection Could Cost You $580,000 — or Shut Your Site Down Tomorrow.

WHS penalties hit record highs in 2025. Fines are indexed annually. Industrial manslaughter laws now carry up to 25 years’ prison and $20 million in corporate penalties. Most businesses won’t find out they’re exposed until an inspector — or an incident — forces the issue.

We find the gaps before they do.

Sound familiar?

You’ve built a solid business. Crews are busy. Projects are coming in. But somewhere in the back of your mind, you know the paperwork isn’t quite right. The SWMS are outdated. The induction records are patchy. The last time someone checked whether your systems would actually hold up under a SafeWork audit was… never.

You’re not alone. Most construction and trade businesses in Australia operate on borrowed time when it comes to WHS compliance — not because they don’t care, but because nobody showed them exactly what “compliant” looks like on a real site.

That gap between what you think is covered and what an inspector actually checks? That’s where fines, shutdowns, and personal liability live.

How We Work

How We Protect Your Business — in 3 Steps

Our compliance system is built for businesses that do real work on real sites — not boardroom theory.

1

Step 1: Spot the Gaps

We run a focused WHS compliance review across your documentation, site procedures, and legal obligations. You’ll see exactly where your business is exposed — the same gaps inspectors target first — laid out in plain language with no jargon.

2

Step 2: Get a Clear Action Plan

We prioritise every finding by risk level and urgency. You’ll receive a practical action plan showing what needs fixing now, what can wait, and whether you need professional support or can handle it in-house. No upselling — just honest recommendations.

3

Step 3: Fix It and Stay Protected

We help you implement site-aligned systems, proper documentation, and staff training that actually sticks. Then we help you maintain it — so you stay audit-ready year-round, not just the week before an inspection.

2025–2026 Regulatory Update

WHS Penalties Are at Record Highs. Are Your Systems Ready?

The regulatory environment has tightened significantly:

  • NSW WHS Regulation 2025 replaced the 2017 version in August 2025 with dramatically higher on-the-spot fines — up to $44,885 per breach for corporations.
  • Industrial manslaughter laws now carry up to 25 years’ imprisonment for individuals and $20 million in fines for corporations across multiple states.
  • Penalty indexing means fines increase annually in line with CPI — every year you wait, the cost of non-compliance goes up.
  • Psychosocial hazard obligations expanded in March 2025 with a new national Code of Practice on sexual and gender-based harassment.
  • Workplace Exposure Limits (WEL) commence December 2026, replacing current standards with significantly stricter thresholds.

If your WHS management system was last reviewed more than 12 months ago, it may already be out of date.

What's included in the free WHS Risk Snapshot?

It’s a 15-minute focused review of your current WHS position. We look at the areas inspectors typically target first — documentation, SWMS, induction records, incident reporting, and risk controls. You’ll get a clear summary of where you’re strong and where the gaps are. No cost, no obligation.

This is a confidential advisory review — not a regulatory inspection. We help you identify and fix issues before a regulator ever sees them. We don’t report businesses, and all information you share stays between us.

Australian businesses in construction, trades, manufacturing, and operational environments with staff, sites, or active projects. If WHS compliance applies to your business, this is relevant.

We’ll walk you through what we’ve found, explain the risk, and give you clear options. If professional support is needed, we’ll tell you honestly. If you can fix it yourself, we’ll tell you that too. No upselling.

Engagements generally start from $1,000 + GST depending on scope and urgency. Everything is discussed upfront before any work begins — no hidden fees, no surprises.

Yes. We provide practical HR support including role clarity, performance management, staffing alignment, and Fair Work compliance. Many WHS issues stem from underlying HR and management gaps — we address both.

No preparation is required. Just book a time and we’ll guide you through it. If you have existing WHS documentation you’d like us to look at, you’re welcome to share it, but it’s not necessary for the initial snapshot.

Don't Wait

Don't Wait for an Inspector to Find What You've Missed.

The businesses that get fined aren’t the ones that don’t care about safety. They’re the ones that assumed their systems were good enough — until someone checked.

A 15-minute conversation could save you hundreds of thousands of dollars in penalties, or keep your site open when it matters most.
